Role overview
We are seeking a Grant Researcher and Writer to support The Kula Foundation with identifying and developing funding opportunities that align with our charitable mission. This role will play a key part in helping us secure resources to support community-led projects and pilot initiatives that create meaningful, sustainable impact.
You will support the organisation by researching relevant funders, helping shape strong funding narratives, and contributing to written applications that reflect the values, impact, and ambitions of our work.
Key responsibilities
- Research grant opportunities aligned with our mission and charitable objects
- Identify funders supporting community development, education, and social impact
- Support the drafting and editing of grant applications, expressions of interest, and funding proposals
- Help articulate project aims, outcomes, and impact in clear and compelling language
- Support the development of budgets, timelines, and monitoring considerations where needed
- Maintain simple records of researched opportunities and submission deadlines
Who this role is for
- Someone with an interest in fundraising, grant writing, or the charity sector
- Strong written communication and research skills
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Detail-oriented, organised, and thoughtful in approach
- Previous grant writing or research experience is helpful but not essential
