Strengthening the Sector

At The Kula Foundation, we believe that real, lasting change doesn’t happen in isolation.

While delivering our own projects is an important part of what we do, we also recognise the incredible work already being carried out by other charities and organisations across the world. These groups are vital in supporting those less fortunate, and we see it as our responsibility to help them extend their impact with our skills and experiences with programme development and sustainable community designs.

We are More Than Just Another Charity

We’re not here to simply add another name to the list of organisations working in communities locally and internationally. We are here to connect, to share, and to strengthen the sector as a whole.

Our voluntary team actively participates in discussions, working groups, and networks where ideas, challenges, and solutions are exchanged openly.

This means we are not only learning from others, but also sharing our own skills, experiences, and knowledge to help them improve their work – whether that improvement is big or small, our efforts will have a wider reaching impact to communities globally through both physical projects and programmes to further education and knowledge building.

How We Support Other Organisations

We offer guidance, resources, and practical advice that can make programmes and projects more effective. This could include:

  • Grant Making – We know there are millions of charities out there, they do amazing work. Many charities also support more than others in ways that really develop and strengthen communities and these are the projects and organisations we want to support and advocate
  • Inclusive Planning – advising on who should be involved to ensure projects reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Design Thinking for Impact – applying innovative and human-centred approaches to both systems and physical project design.
  • Sustainability Considerations – exploring environmental, social, economic, and material factors that can make projects more resilient and future-proof.
  • Sharing Precedents & Case Studies – providing real-world examples of successful approaches from around the world.

Building a Knowledge Hub

To make our insights and resources available to as many people as possible, we are building a dedicated online resource. Here, organisations, whether we’ve met them in person or not, will be able to access guidance, examples, and information to support their work.

This way, the impact of our expertise can reach well beyond our immediate networks.

Why This Matters

When charities and community groups learn from each other, they waste less time reinventing the wheel, avoid common mistakes, and create stronger, more sustainable solutions. By helping each other succeed.

We ensure that more people get the help they need, faster and in ways that last.

Get in touch with us if your organisation could benefit from collaboration, shared resources, or programme design support.

Our goal is simple: stronger programmes, better outcomes, and a sector that works together to solve the challenges facing communities worldwide.
