About the Role
The Kula Foundation is seeking a committed and proactive Volunteer Trustee with strong experience in administration, governance, and grant-making processes. As a trustee, you will play a key role in helping us strengthen our organisational foundations, ensure good governance, and enhance the impact of our charitable work both locally and internationally.
What You’ll Do
- Support ongoing governance tasks, including policy reviews, revisions, and compliance checks.
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth and efficient charity operations.
- Assist in developing and refining our grant-making frameworks, eligibility criteria, and funding processes.
- Help assess and monitor the impact of organisations we fund, ensuring accountability and shared learning.
- Attend trustee meetings, provide consistent guidance throughout the year, and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Champion our values and represent The Kula Foundation with integrity and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in charity governance, administration, or nonprofit operations.
- Knowledge of (or interest in) grant-making, impact monitoring, or funding assessment.
- Strong organisational skills and a willingness to engage regularly across the year.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to The Kula Foundation’s mission of social, economic, and environmental development.
- Someone who is proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a small, volunteer-led charity.
